I just got my first pay check from Dev St. Im not sure what their business model is but its off the chest that they are a desperation site for those who want to be part of the tech culture. I have been using Dev St. for over two years now and I could see the appeal. Its all about developing new skills and abilities within the tech community. But now they are turning their attention to someone who has nothing - someone who is not even in the country due to politics. This seems like a personal attack on my work ethic and his ability to keep up with technology. The fact is he knows more than anyone else about technology and he knows how to use it. Thats why I think we need something better than Dev St.I am writing this because we as a community need to start an dialogue about what that might be. Let us know if you have any suggestions
